據(jù)介紹，吳江擁有規(guī)模龐大的制造業(yè)集群，培育形成了千億級(jí)產(chǎn)業(yè)、千億級(jí)企業(yè)和千億級(jí)市場(chǎng)，目前全區(qū)民營(yíng)企業(yè)數(shù)量近6萬(wàn)家、外資企業(yè)1900家左右，其中1家世界500強(qiáng)企業(yè)、4家中國(guó)企業(yè)500強(qiáng)、5家中國(guó)民營(yíng)企業(yè)500強(qiáng)。去年全區(qū)地區(qū)生產(chǎn)總值1789億元，一般公共預(yù)算收入183.5億元，綜合經(jīng)濟(jì)實(shí)力繼續(xù)位居全國(guó)同類區(qū)域前列。
